NAGGW DG with Musa Ibrahim
Musa Ibrahim is a passionate environmentalist, and Land Hero of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). Over the years, he has carried out massive digital advocacy, participated in numerous high-level dialogues on environment/climate change, and has executed projects in grassroots communities such as tree planting, school advocacy programs, green hangouts, cleanups, and documentaries amongst others.
He is focused on providing solutions to the issues of Desertification, Land Degradation, Drought, Disaster, Poverty, Pollution, and Food insecurity. In 2021 he was selected as GLF social media ambassador. He attended the UNCCD COP15 in Abidjan where he emphasized the role of youths in meeting the actualization of the Great Green Wall.
He was selected to represent Nigeria at the First Edition of the Pan African Agency for the Great Green Wall ‘Green Youth Caravan’ in Senegal, Mauritania, and Mali covering a distance of 3,000kms across the African Sahel region to learn about how these countries are addressing the issues of Desertification, Drought, Biodiversity Loss, and Food Insecurity, etc. He was recently named a NAGGW Youth Champion by the National Agency for the Great Green Wall upon his return from the caravan.
